Speaker bios:

David Ashpole: I’ve been working on Kubernetes at Google for 4 years, and have focused on Resource Management and Container Monitoring.  For most of that time, I have been the maintainer of cAdvisor, a popular container monitoring tool built-into kubernetes.  I am currently a Tech Lead for Kubernetes Sig-Instrumentation, and lately I’ve been working on integrating tracing into Kubernetes.

Sergey Kanzhelev: I was working on monitoring and observability tools over 15 years – starting in a small startup, working on big enterprise solutions, and building tools for modern stack apps. Lately I’m working on making the world a better observable place by contributing to OpenTelemetry success. I’m a governance and technical committee member for the project and active contributor. I am also working in Google and heavily involved in development of Google Kubernetes Engine.
