To 2015 Conference Attendees:
The Computer Measurement Group (CMG) has issued its call for presentations for CMG’s imPACt 2016 to be held in La Jolla, CA, November 7-10, 2016. See the Call for Papers here. Volunteers are needed as paper referees and editors. These positions are done remotely, so no need to travel! Brief explanations are provided below, but detailed information is available HERE (or cut/paste https://www.cmg.org/conferences/volunteer/volunteer-qualifications/). Referees are assigned according to self-determined areas of expertise to review and provide input on submitted papers and presentations on a peer-review basis. Timeframe: June-July. HINT: If you can’t attend the Conference this year this is a great way to get to read papers in your subject area. Editorial Review Board members (editors) work with authors of presentations that have been selected for inclusion in the November Conference schedule. Editors assist authors in getting manuscripts or slides ready for publication. Timeframe: August-September. As a 2015 Conference attendee, consider volunteering for one of these positions! CMG runs on the strength of its volunteers, and even if you are not sure you can attend the 2016 Conference, you can still participate in reviewing submitted papers. So, go HERE (or cut/paste https://www.cmg.org/conferences/volunteer/) and sign up via the Volunteer Form today! We look forward to having you join the team. Please send questions to the Volunteer Coordinator, Kathy Steffens, at [email protected]. |
