The Computer Measurement Group (CMG) calls for Training proposals for imPACt 2016, the premier international event designed for and by performance and capacity professionals, to be held in La Jolla, California, November 7-10, 2016.
In addition to the many papers and presentations at CMG imPACt, each year we offer more intensive training sessions, sometimes called CMG-T. The imPACt training classes consist of 2-4 hour training sessions on a specific topic intended to provide in-depth coverage of that topic and equip attendees with knowledge and skills they can apply in their daily jobs. Trainers may team up to present the subject coverage in multiple segments by different presenters or a single trainer can present multiple hours to cover the subject.
The 2016 CMG conference will cover a wide range of topics across all computing platforms and technologies including big data and analytics, mainframes, virtualization, cybersecurity, networks, storage, cloud computing, cognitive computing and mobile devices. Training classes can be related to any of the conference subject areas as outlined in the Call For Papers or related areas.
Some example topics for imPACt training are:
Modeling and Forecasting for Performance and Capacity
Big Data and Analytics Performance Management
SAN Performance and Capacity in The Age of Flash
Network Performance Management
Containers – What are they, how do they work and how do we plan for them?
IBM z/OS Capacity and Performance Tutorial
Measuring and Managing the Impact of Cybersecurity
Designing Applications for Performance
Cloud Computing Performance and Capacity Challenges and Solutions
VMware Performance Management
CMG requires PowerPoint slides with speaker’s notes prior to the conference, in time for public
Please note: The Title & Abstract Due date is the date to submit a brief idea or outline of your proposed training. The PowerPoint Copy Due date implies that the presentation is nearly complete and is ready for review by a CMG-assigned editor. The Publication Ready Final Copy Due date occurs after the presentation has been accepted, reviewed by an editor, re-submitted with any updates, corrections or modifications, and is ready for publication.
Please direct all inquiries and submissions to [email protected].
