Change is the only constant in the software industry. Chip technology introduces better and faster servers every year. Customer demands lead to code changes on a daily basis. Software usage changes with new features being added with every new release. This is a nightmare scenario for a performance engineer who has to ensure that the end system is high-performing, stable, and set up such that resources are being utilized at a maximum while cost to serve is low.
