There’s IT in “humanity” — but is there humanity in IT?
Join CMG for Software for Humanity 2026, a day dedicated to exploring the intersection of technology, people, and the world around us.
Software continues to transform how we work, communicate, build, and solve problems. This event brings together technologists, engineers, developers, researchers, and industry leaders to examine not only what technology can do, but how we can use it thoughtfully and responsibly.
This year’s program will place a particular emphasis on Artificial Intelligence, alongside conversations about accessibility, inclusion, sustainability, open source, and other issues shaping the relationship between technology and humanity.
Topics will include
- Artificial Intelligence and its practical applications
- Responsible and ethical AI
- AI in software engineering and IT operations
- Accessibility and inclusive technology
- Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in technology
- Sustainable IT and environmentally responsible computing
- Open source technologies and communities
- Human-centered software design
- Security, governance, and trust
- Technology’s impact on work, society, and human behavior
The program will feature technical presentations, real-world case studies, practical lessons, interactive discussions, and opportunities to connect with others working across the technology community.
Call for Speakers
Interested in presenting at Software for Humanity 2026?
CMG is currently accepting speaker proposals. We’re looking for practical, thought-provoking sessions that offer real-world experience, useful takeaways, and ideas that encourage meaningful conversation.
In-person presentations are strongly preferred. A limited number of one to two virtual presentation opportunities will also be available.
