Late Breaking Track Finalized for 37th International CMG conference (CMG’11), December 5-9 in Washington, DC

Quality and Diversity of Topics on Wide Range of Key IT Subject Areas Better than Ever

TURNERSVILLE, NJ, November 23, 2011 – The Computer Measurement Group (CMG), a not-for-profit, worldwide organization of IT professionals specializing in performance, capacity and service management has finalized its Late Breaking Track for this year’s 37th International CMG conference (CMG’11) taking place December 5-9 at the Gaylord National Hotel in the Washington DC area.

The breadth of the material covered in these sessions is better than ever, with more session options. In addition to CMG’s normal sessions and panels, there are split sessions where two smaller presentations are covered in one hour as well as free-form poster sessions where attendees can see and discuss works-in-progress with the authors.

“It’s hard to believe that CMG’11 is less than a month away. In addition to the featured speakers and keynotes, we are adding an impressive list of “late breaking” papers.  These late breaking papers deal with technologies, methodologies, and timely information which have come about since the original paper deadline for CMG’11.  It is meant to keep our conference attendees on the absolute cutting edge of what is transpiring in the industry,” said Tony Mungal, Marketing Director, for CMG.

Here are the Late Breaking papers which have been accepted for presentation at CMG’11:

-Mark Friedman Measuring Processor Utilization in Windows and Windows Applications
-Amy Spellman-George Handera Digital Infrastructure Planning for Private CloudsMigrating from ICB4 to Infiniband and Beyond
-Dr. Anna Long Do Not Track: A Guide for Information Technology Professionals
-Dr. H. Pat Artis Evaluating the Impact of a Fusion-io ioDrive on a Complex Server Application
-Joe Temple Using Headroom (HR) for Design and Analysis
-Manoj Nambiar Performance Evaluation of FIFO Implementation on Infiniband RDMA
-Peter Enrico Various z/OS Performance Measurement and Tuning Tips

In addition, CMG’11 is offering again this year CMG-T tutorials which have been highly praised for both the remedial and advanced levels of topics by industry respected instructors, as well as Monday morning Workshops which are half-day sessions providing attendees in-depth coverage on selected current topics. .

Firsts for CMG – iPhone App and Free Friday for College Students

For the very first time, CMG has an iPhone App to help attendees navigate the conference. The conference agenda, including last minute updates, will be viewable on your iPhone. This application is free and will be available from the iPhone app store the week the conference starts.

Also this year, CMG is reaching out to college students majoring in Computer Science by offering ‘Free Friday’ on December 9. Students will have the opportunity to attend Friday sessions for free and mingle with other attendees during the morning break.

Students just need to go to the CMG Registration desk on Friday morning, show their current college student ID, and they will be given a special badge allowing them to attend the sessions and the break.
