1:15 – 2:00 What did you do about the IBM/MLC 5% increase and some negotiation tips? – Brian Hoare
Abstract: In January 2022 IBM increased IBM/MLC by 5%. In January 2023, the same increase will occur again – another 5%. Guess what
will happen in 2024?
This will get worse, especially if you have a CPI increment inserted in your IBM agreements. CPI so far this year is 8.5%. So, a 5% IBM/MLC increase and a CPI increase. This could be a big price increase – ouch! Have you considered how you can offset these cost increases?
This discussion will suggest ways to offset the 5% and ways to negotiate with IBM and other ISV’s.
