In this lecture, she will walk you through the payment evolution from cash to cashless, how and why there is such a distinctive divergence between the evolution of the west and the east. To understand the root cause, we will need to trace back to the essentials, which is, how the banking system works, where the true asset is physically and digitally stored in custody, and how financial institutions choose to share or not to share individual’s information.

As of this moment, Paypal with millions of users announce the adoption of bitcoin, and the market capitalization of Square once exceeds that of American Express. Beyond divergence, she foresees the trend as an emerging smarter and more credible digital payment integration. She explains how they started their payment startup, iSunOne, to enable digital payment on both smartphone and through debit card. Effendy Zulkifly

Effendy Zulkifly is holding Bachelor in Legal Studies and obtained Certificate of FinTech Program from Oxford University. He is Certified Blockchain Expert from The Frankfurt School Blockchain Center. He raised Diploma in Information Technology (IT) Management from ALISON Academy, the e-learning provider and academy founded in Galway, Ireland and learnt coding and programming languages such as Python and JavaScript from Codecademy (USA).

In December 2014, he established ASEAN Youthpreneur Community (AYPC) as the Chairman. AYPC is the Non Profit Technology Chamber of Commerce that consists of the Technopreneurs from 10 ASEAN Countries promoting Blockchain and Digital Entrepreneurship. In January 2017, he was appointed as Director of Blockchain Development for AGA Global Associate Holding based in Kuala Lumpur. In January 2018, he founded Blockowrq Sdn Bhd and Blockchain Research Center Malaysia (BRCM) to build more professional and educated people in the Blockchain and IR4.0 Ecosystem.

He is also the Co-Founder of Crypto Valley Malaysia as a technology chamber of commerce with Blockchain and Emerging Technologies as the enabler for Industry 4.0.
