TURNERSVILLE, NJ, September 10, 2007 - The Computer Measurement Group (CMG), the Information Technology professionals responsible for planning, measuring and managing the world’s largest IT infrastructures, announced today that it has completed scheduling for the 33rd Computer Measurement Group 2007 annual conference taking place from December 2 -7 in San Diego, CA at the Manchester Grand Hyatt.

CMG’07 will offer 156 program presentations Monday through Friday focusing on Information Technology (IT) performance and management. These sessions include nearly 100 presentations which have been peer-reviewed using a blind-referee process. There will be over 35 invited industry expert sessions as well as a number of panels with experts discussing issues of relevance to IT performance practitioners. Also included will be 24 CMG-T (training) sessions given by several industry luminaries presenting courses on core competencies for all levels of interest of the attendees from ‘rookies’ to ‘experts’.

CMG’07 program presentations cover zSeries, UNIX/LINUX and Windows platforms as well as non-server topics such as networking / Internet and storage. Papers and presentation will focus on emerging technologies and "hot topics" that are of interest to IT service management professionals, such as virtualization, Service-Oriented Architecture, business performance management and computer performance evaluation.

In addition, CMG offers a set of Sunday Workshops consisting of seven parallel morning and afternoon half-day sessions for in-depth training on a wide range of capacity and performance topics. As a popular new entry in 2006, there will once again be several conference-within-a-conference programs with leading vendors. Throughout CMG’07, there will be additional training offered by exhibitors with technical training classes focusing on their tools.

"With this year’s quality and breadth of offerings, CMG is positioning itself as the premiere source for ‘one-stop shopping’ of education for the computer performance professional," said Kathy Steffens, the Program Chairman for CMG'07. "CMG ’07 is one of the few sources for objective analysis of the technologies that enable consolidation efforts, reduced operational costs and improvement on the 'bottom line.' We are looking forward to providing an exciting program this year."

CMG members are experts at evaluating and deploying computer systems optimized for cost and quality of service. Members include professional performance management personnel from the largest corporations around the world. They enjoy the benefits of CMG’s unique knowledge base and performance-focused community.

The Computer Measurement Group (www.cmg.org) is a not for profit, worldwide organization of data processing professionals committed to the measurement and management of computer systems.
