Can't make it to CMG 2009?  It's a tough year and some people will find they cannot convince management of the value of the national conference. But do not despair.  That's why we have a variety of regional meetings, closer to your home.  It's usually a lot easier to get to a one-day conference in a city near you than to deal with the corporate travel police.  The benefits mirror what you get at the larger conference, but on a smaller scale.  You connect with people in your field and have an opportunity to learn.  But the best part is that your connections are now with people in your area, which means you may be more likely to network and share with them.  Your CMG network is a valuable resource for your career (and potentially for job hunting).

Go to www.cmg.org/groups and see which region is closest to you.  And if you don't have a local region or one close enough to you, contact Frank Bereznay, our VP and Regional Chair, to start your own region.
