As IT professionals responsible for today's complex environments, we know that the only constant is change. Today's competitive advantage can quickly become tomorrow's legacy liability. With that said, have you heard about the latest changes in the field? Do you think you'll need to come up to speed quickly on newly-announced technologies? Are you already immersed in evaluating the impact of new technologies on your organization?
To help keep us all as up to date as possible, CMG calls for LATE-BREAKING TECHNOLOGY PRESENTATIONS to be presented at the 35th International Conference to be held in Dallas, Texas, December 6th through 11th, 2009. As a Late Breaking presentation, we would expect that the information in the presentation would be something which has only become available since the regular paper deadline in June.
We are also interested in User Experience papers that talk about the real problems that you faced in your shop, what you did to address them, and what solutions you found in the end. If you have had interesting times over the summer, we would like to hear about them.
The 2009 CMG conference will cover cloud computing, measurement tools and techniques, load and stress testing, performance optimization, software performance engineering, resource management, capacity analysis, applied statistics and forecasting, simulation and analytic modeling, and cost management. There will be special emphasis on capacity planning for green datacenters, virtualization, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), IT Service Management, application performance, and the technological implications of globalization.
Submissions at all levels are encouraged: introductory or advanced, tutorial, technical, or managerial. We require submissions (papers or PowerPoint slides with speaker's notes) no later than September 26th for consideration for inclusion in the conference. Earlier submissions are encouraged, as CMG '09 timeslots for Late Breaking Papers are limited, and decisions for acceptance will be made on a case-by-case basis.

Author Acceptance Notification: Oct. 15, 2009
Submissions should be e-mailed to the conference Program Chair at cmgpc@cmg.org using a paper or PowerPoint format as described under the 'Papers' section of the conference web page at www.cmg.org/conference/cmg2009/speaker-info.html. Look for the sub-title of 'Paper Format Guidelines' if submitting a presentation in a paper format, or look for the sub-title of 'PowerPoint Guidelines' if submitting a presentation in a slide format with substantive notes. Finally, CMG Presentation Policies will be in effect for all submissions which can be viewed under 'Papers'.
Authors will be notified of acceptance/non-acceptance of their presentation by CMG Headquarters via e-mail no later than Oct 15, 2009. If the submission is accepted, the e-mail will be followed by the hard copy official paperwork (license to publish, speaker discount, etc.).
