CMG Keynote Speaker, Plenary Speaker, and Panel Highlights

As you look over the agenda for this year's CMG conference, make sure you note the Keynote and Plenary speakers and the Panels spread throughout the week. You will find a large amount of worthwhile information on all of them.

This year's Keynote Address, The Impact of Software as a Service (SaaS) on the Enterprise Data Center, will be delivered by Amy Wohl. Amy has been a recognized expert on information systems and strategies for many years, and she will have much to say about one of today's hottest topics, Software as a Service. Don't miss this opportunity.

Jeff Nick of EMC Corporation will be CMG's Plenary Speaker. His presentation, The Next Revolution in Computing: The Virtualized Data Center Meets the Cloud, offers an interesting look at Cloud Computing and the Datacenter. He suggests that the Cloud will not replace the Datacenter, but will reinforce it. This will be another wonderfully informative and thought-provoking session.

As always, the Program Committee has arranged a fine group of panel discussions featuring industry experts who will answer your questions, no matter how difficult. These panels cover a wide range of subjects, so highlight the ones you will need to attend! You can select from:

  • Software Performance Engineering: A Community Discussion on Organizational Best Practices
  • System z Performance Questions and Answers (you may email questions for the panel in advance to: zos_panel@cmg.org)
  • Hardware's Cheap So Why Do Modeling?
  • DB2 Performance Questions and Answers (you may email questions for the panel in advance to: db2_panel@cmg.org)
  • Storage Performance Council: 2009 Update and Discussion
