CMG is investigating the possibility of moving the national conference from December to another time of the year. Over the years we have heard from members and others that they have trouble getting the conference into their company budget since it is at the end of the year or that their company will not let them travel between Thanksgiving and New Years.
We want to determine if these issues affect a minor portion of our membership and MeasureIT readership, or if this is a major problem impacting a much wider range of members and potential members.
CMG is able to negotiate better hotel room rates for our attendees during the months of December-February. If we move the conference from this time frame, the room rates may increase. This possible room rate increase, along with concern about competing with other established conferences throughout the year, has been the primary reason for continuing to hold the conference in December
