CMG'09 in 27 Days

CMG'09 is now just 27 days away.  Personally, I'm excited about renewing old acquaintances and getting the latest information about capacity and performance management from the experts.

Those of you attending CMG for the first time will be interested in our First Timer Sessions.  These sessions provide you the opportunity to get an overview of how things work at CMG, ask questions and get a general understanding of what the week will be like. They will be presented by veteran CMG attendees who can answer just about any question you ask, so don't hold back; see if you can stump them!  The times and location of this sessions (one Saturday, 12/5/09 and one Monday, 12/7/09) will be in your registration materials.

Everyone at the conference should plan on attending the Annual Business Meeting and Welcoming Session on Monday, December 7 at 6:00 p.m.  You will participate in CMG's annual membership meeting AND get a real understanding of how CMG works and what goes into creating a conference such as this one.  The CMG Board of Directors has made a few changes to CMG's bylaws.  Those changes will be voted on by you, the membership, at this meeting.  This is an important session and everyone should plan on attending it.

Finally, if you still are unsure about attending CMG'09 you should look at the online agenda, which can be found at http://www.cmg.org/cgi-bin/agenda_2009.pl.  As you look through the sessions you'll see what a complete conference this is.  There are sessions from experts and from people just like you who are sharing their experiences in Cloud Computing, Virtualization, Load Testing, Capacity Planning, Tuning, UNIX, z/OS, and just about every other system management related discipline.   Add to this our Sunday Workshops, specialized training in the GMG-T sessions, and insightful Keynote and Plenary presentations from Amy Wohl and Jeff Nick, and you have a conference that you absolutely need to attend.

You still have time, but it's growing short.  Register for CMG'09 in Dallas.  It's a decision you'll remember as a wise one.
