Dear CMG member,

Exciting news: CMG is currently in the process of reviving our publications! We’re launching a blog, called CMG Amplify, revamping the MeasureIT newsletter, and bringing back the Journal – and we’d like you to get involved.

CMG is already known as the premiere association for performance and scalability professionals, and our publications will reflect that. CMG Amplify’s goal is to be nothing less than the number one destination for performance and scalability professionals to learn more and share their insights about the field.

Many CMG members have published with us already, and many more have expressed interest in showcasing their work. As a CMG member, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to our blog and publications.

What kind of content will the blog contain?

CMG Amplify will have a variety of content sure to appeal to newcomers and seasoned veterans alike.

  • War stories
  • Insight into performance and scalability
  • Coverage of products, events, conferences
  • Book reviews
  • Commenting on research, news, best practices
  • Sharing professional challenges and triumphs (like that last snippet of gorgeous code you wrote)
  • Career development
  • Much more!

How it’ll work?

Editor Sarah Pike and I will be coordinating the blog. We are aiming to publish 2-3 new blog posts per week, all very digestible bites, and some just giving readers a taste of more in-depth coverage in CMG’s other pubs, MeasureIT and the Journal, or even other journals, blogs, and white papers. We will approve content, make sure the i’s are dotted and t’s crossed, and take care of publishing posts.

What we need from you?

For now, we are looking to get a better idea of who is available to write what, and when. Please sign up to contribute and indicate your areas of expertise by taking our survey [here]. It shouldn’t take more than a few minutes and will help us greatly with planning and further communications.

This is your chance to share your performance and scalability expertise with the world! If you’re interested in contributing to CMG Amplify, please take the survey by December 22nd.
